What is Mahindra’s ZIP, ZAP, ZOOM Modes?
CMH Mahindra Pinetown has seen remarkable success with the Mahindra XUV3XO, and one of the quirky features that our customers absolutely adore is the ZIP, ZAP, ZOOM driver modes. But what exactly is it?
How to Access the Drive Modes
To access the driver modes, simply press the “Drive Mode” button located in the infotainment area. On our XUV3XO AX7L at CMH Mahindra Pinetown, this button can be found on the top right corner of the centre console.
What Do ZIP, ZAP, ZOOM Mean?
Once pressed, the driver will be presented with three unique driving modes, each with its own background theme:
- ZIP – Represented by a cityscape background, this is the ideal mode for urban driving. It gives you enough power to zip through traffic while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.
- ZAP – Indicated by a countryside background, this mode is perfect for longer trips on highways. It offers a smooth drive while reducing fuel consumption.
- ZOOM – Displayed with a racetrack background, this mode is designed for those moments when you want more throttle response and a heavier steering feel. It holds engine revs longer before shifting gears, giving you a noticeable boost in performance. This does come with a slight increase in fuel consumption.
How Do You Know Which Mode You’re In?
Once you’ve selected your desired mode, a graphic will appear on the driver display to confirm which mode your Mahindra is currently in.
